Staff INSET can
be provided either as a technical learning exercise which
can cover all hand building techniques, (coiling, slabwork,
pinching,
mould making and mask making) throwing, kiln firing and
management, glaze mixing and sawdust kilns
The workshops do not have to a technical side but can concentrate on how
to develop chosen curriculum themes using clay as a modelling medium. They
can also explore
ways of managing a clay lesson to ensure maximum possible success for all
involved.
Alternatively it can be a team building/bonding exercise where staff can experience
making with clay on a chosen theme or just explore and develop their own creative
side.
